How we handle what you share.

Revere captures life stories. The people who entrust us with theirs deserve to know exactly how we hold them.

What we collect

The names, contact details, and answers given by subjects, buyers, and the family members each subject invites. The recordings of interview sessions. The photographs uploaded by the subject and by family members the subject invites.

What we do with it

We use it to make the artefacts the subject paid for: a memoir, a digital Living Memoir, and the small set of Tribute Letters they send. Beyond that, the only other use is improving how Revere itself interviews and writes: work that happens inside the company, by its founders, and nowhere else. We don't sell data, we don't train external models on anything identifiable, we don't market other products to anyone we meet through Revere.

Who can see it

The subject sees everything. The buyer sees order status only. Family reviewers, when invited, see chapters the subject has approved. Tribute Letter recipients, when posted, see the curated moments the subject chose for them.

Inside Revere, access to story material is limited to the two founders, and used only to run Revere and to make it better. Recordings and transcripts live behind authenticated access; the systems that store them are encrypted at rest.

If a letter arrived in your post

Tribute Letter recipients aren't customers, so here is what we hold about you: the name and postal address the storyteller gave us, and the letter they approved. The address is used once, to send that letter. You are never added to a mailing list, nothing is ever marketed to you, and you can ask us to delete what we hold at any time.

How long we keep it

Recordings, photographs, and the source materials of the memoir are retained for the hosting term (five years, with a simple renewal offered at the end; orders placed before August 2026 keep the longer periods they were sold). Subjects can request deletion at any time.

Your control

The subject owns every irreversible decision. They can redact a person, withdraw a chapter, decline to send a Tribute Letter, and request the deletion of any recording, transcript, or artefact. We honour those requests promptly.

Where it all physically lives

The recordings, the voice model, and everything made from them are held in private, encrypted storage in Australia, and can be deleted on request. The details, including exactly what happens to a cloned voice, are on our security page.

If something concerns you

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you think we've fallen short, write to us and we'll look into it properly and reply personally. If our answer doesn't resolve it, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
